Short Description:	Recombinant-Human B29/CD79B-C-hFc protein was developed from hek293 cells and has a target region of C-hFc. For use in research applications.

Formulation:	Lyophilized from a 0.22 Mu m filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Storage Instruction:	Store at-20°C for up to 1 year from the date of receipt, and avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Immunoreactivity:	Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CD79B at 2 Mu g/mL (100 Mu L/well) can bind Anti-CD79B Humanized Antibody with a linear range of 0.781-1.771 ng/mL.

Immunogen:	Recombinant Human B29/CD79B Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala29-Asp159) of human CD79b/B29 (Accession #NP_000617.1) fused with a hFc tag at the C-terminus.

Post Translational Modifications	Phosphorylated on tyrosine upon B-cell activation by SRC-type Tyr-kinases such as BLK, LYN and SYK.
Function	Required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR) which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation. Enhances phosphorylation of CD79A, possibly by recruiting kinases which phosphorylate CD79A or by recruiting proteins which bind to CD79A and protect it from dephosphorylation.
